I've come to think of this place as a Eugene landmark of sorts, and it has inspired no shortage of questions for me. Who lives there? Is the overgrowth intentional? Are there structural issues? Have the occupants always wanted to live in a tree house?
If you want to check it out yourself (from a respectful distance, of course) it's between 17th and 18th on Lincoln St.

This is a fine, fine house.
Yes, chances are very good that they are seeking privacy and I've just set them in a visible spot by posting the photo on my blog. I do feel a bit bad about that. Still, I think it's a wonderful place and I hold it (and its occupants) in high regard.
